Great Land Gate, the main entrance to the Old Town
A fortress on the way
My kind of store

We arrived in Korcula on Thursday October 18th on a bus from Mostar. Our arrival, after a ferry ride, was, once again, about noon.

After a short walk from the ferry dock, we came to the old town (See the Great Land Gate on the left), and followed the instructions on how to get to our accommodations in Apartment Lenni. There was some kind of mix-up in finding the apartment as we were expecting to be met at the ferry port. The fault may have been ours as I don't remember whether or not we called our host the day before arrival. Anyway, we had no trouble finding the place.

The apartment was clean and comfortable (was there a walk up or elevators?)

The water was so clear
...and I mean real clear!
There were lots of boats docked
Even the police had boats!
Some alleys were crowded
while others were empty
Outside the main entrance there were merchants for tourists, including restaurants

Interesting
Kind of narrow
Inside the (above) church
Residential area
Part of an old fortress
Should I call this a statue?
Interior of the church shown in the two phots below right.
Another view of the old fortress above center
Not sure - could be part of the church to the right
A church not far from the last one (see inside above)
A church - inside above left

The above four church pictures were taken only a few minutes apart so I conclude they are of the same one.
She says Hi!
...and then huffs up the stairs

Lynda relaxing at the beach
...well, she was
... had to take that photo
... of this??
I don't think she likes it - the wine, I mean
Ok. Ok. We get it!
Some homes
A boat ramp
A real gas saver
Time to say good bye to Korcula
